Our classes are designed to be a fun, immersive experience, so once you secure your spot, it’s yours for the semester – no refunds or make-ups classes, just pure LEGO® magic! We appreciate your understanding as we keep everything running smoothly, and please note that we’ll be closed on Labor Day, Plano ISD Fall Break, and Plano ISD Thanksgiving and Christmas Breaks. Our clubs will wrap up at the end of December, and we adhere to any weather-related closures from Plano ISD.

Lego Fans of Chess: Tuesdays
Students use bricks to design and assemble custom chessboards and unique game pieces. The coach will teach chess basics to beginners and help advanced players sharpen their tactics. All chess players are welcome beginners and experienced. Taught by: Brian Rosser

Lego Club- Igniting Imagination Through Bricks: Wednesdays
It is an excellent place to begin the building journey. The club offers a fun and supportive environment to explore the basics of Lego construction and spark creativity. Learn how to connect bricks, create sturdy structures, and experiment with different shapes and sizes. Exploring diverse themes: Design vehicles and craft dinosaurs. Various themes will be explored to foster creativity and problem-solving skills. Storytelling and imaginative play: Bring creations to life by creating narratives and engaging in imaginative play scenarios, expanding storytelling abilities.
Ages 5 to 8

Lego Battle Bots: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, & Level 4: Wednesdays
Imagine a world where your LEGO® creations come to life through battery powered Lego Battle Bots. These classes explore that world, teaching you to build and program LEGO® robots for exciting battles. This class introduces the fundamental principles of robotics in a playful, interactive setting. A Lego Battle Bot Competition will be held on November 14th, 2026. Lego Battle Bots purchased will belong to the students at the end of the semester to take home.
Ages 5+
Levels must be completed 1, 2, 3, and 4 – only one level per semester.
No Class Dates: October 14th
Lego Battle Bots: Level 1: $150.00, Level 2: $200.00, Level 3: $250.00, Level 4: $100.00. Lego Battle Bot Fees due in full by 1st class. Additional Expense of $18.00 T-Shirt and additional part supply costs may arise throughout the semester. Competition fee is $25.00 per student.

Minifig Masters Lego Team: Thursdays
Audition Details:

  – Date & Time: Thursday, August 20th, from 4:45 PM to 6:30 PM (see attached flyer).
  – Results: Accepted members will be notified by email on August 20th at 7:30 PM and will have 48 hours to accept.
  – Capacity: A total of 20 students will be accepted across three teams. No alternates will be placed this season.
  – Judging: Three official DFWLUG Lego judges will evaluate and select the teams.
  – Captains: Team Captains will be chosen by the judges based on building skill and interviews.

Key Updates for the 2026–2027 Season:

  – Team Structure: Teams will be divided by building skill rather than age. Ms. Robin will coach the beginner level, I will coach the intermediate and advanced levels, and Myleigh Rosser will assist as a coach. This team functions as both a competitive Lego team and a community public display team. 
  – Schedule & Attendance: Weekly meetings will be held on Thursdays from 4:45 PM to 6:15 PM, starting August 27th. Attendance is mandatory, with a limit of three unexcused absences or tardies. We offer flexibility for illnesses, mandatory school events, and sports commitments. Display events are typically held in 2-hour weekend shifts.
  – Age & Travel Requirements: Students aged 8 and older will attend Brick Rodeo in Austin, TX, from July 14th to 18th, 2027. Commitment to this event is highly encouraged and really is required.
  – Pricing: Tuition is $50.00 per month, plus a one-time $150.00 supply fee, and approximately $40.00 for a team t-shirt and sweatshirt (plus $12.00 if your child needs a Red Minifig Adventure shirt). Attendance at Brick Rodeo in July 2027 carries an estimated travel and convention expense of $1,000.00. Occasional costs for extra supplies, sets, or travel meals may arise.
